March of the Pigs

I want to break it up I want to smash it up I want to f*ck it up
I want to watch it come down...

This post’s TUNE comes from Nine Inch Nails.  I told you I had eclectic taste in music, and I think this proves it, but what amazing taste it is right?!? (agree with me, it will be easier in the long run).  Anywho, I think this song is just so so good, it’s a little heavy if you’re not into this kind of thing, but you should give it a go because everyone should have a bit of Nine Inch Nails in their life!  So please check out the music video to this song here, and have a little looksie at their website here.

It’s all gone a bit hard core there, bringing it back...

Shirt (with vest top underneath): New Look (old)
Skirt: Select (Christmas Prezzie)
Tights: Primark (£2.50)
Boots: New Look (Christmas Prezzie)
Leather Jacket: NewLook (old)
Bag: Miss Selfridge (old)

Do I look like a little punk emo kid? Do I care? No.  I love the skirt, the studded collar and the heeled boots, and I think it works quite well together so happy days.  Considering I had both the boots and the skirt for Christmas I think I’ve only worn them on one other occasion before this, shameful!  I promise I will try to wear them more!

Anywho, this is my pleather (?) oxblood, skirt, get me pretending like I know my fashion sh*t!  I know the whole oxblood thing was sooooo last year dahlin’ (uch), but who gives a damn, fashion is so throw away, why do we spend all this money on it if we only ever wear it a few times, I intend to continue wearing whatever I want from my wardrobe no matter what.  Obviously if I like something on trend in the shops I will buy it but I certainly never by anything because it’s ‘in’ right now.

Phew, would you look at that for a rant...

Glad to get that off my chest, I know you were glad to hear it....

Hope you’ve had a lovely week!

Over and Out,

  5. I totally agree with you on the trend thing. I don't pay attention to what's 'hot' on the high street other than out of interest. I still wear what feels right for me. Also, I totally have that skirt - it was a Christmas present for me too! :D Nice to see someone else styling it.

  6. Ah, I love Nine Inch Nails! Used to be obsessed with them in high school, and March of the Pigs was definitely one of my faves :) Loving that skirt! Like that it's a super feminine silhouette, but made with a tougher, edgier fabric. Looks great! :)

  7. Oxblood is just a fall/winter color, but I say you can get away with any dark color at night, just not during the day during Spring. I love the skirt, I would wear as often as possible! xx
