Building up the old lipstick collection, now up to a grand total of two...
So yeah, I'm not normally a big lipstick fan, I just never seem to wear the stuff. I guess I have never had the best of experiences with lipstick, every colour just seems to be a bit too much for me. So with this in mind I decided to give lipstick another go and pick something a bit more subtle. After seeing this rather classy lipstick sitting nicely on the shelf in boots I thought I should give it a go.
I can't say I'm overly impressed with this lipstcik and I can't really pinpoint why. I guess I had higher hopes for the colour, but it's a bit too subtle for my liking, so subtle infact, it matches my lip colour too well and pretty much look like I don't have anything different on, which for me, totally goes against why you would wear it in the first place, just stick to clear lip balm surely.
The wear on this lipstick is ok, nothing to write home about, but it feels quite nice and and has a moisturising feeling when you apply it.
The packaging for me is the best part about this product as it looks damn classy, however, and this is strange coming from someone who can be as shallow as me, but the way something looks isn't the be all and end all. For me, with makeup, as long as the packaging does the job, it doesn't really matter what it looks like.
Overall, I wouldn't say this is the best of lipsticks and I'm not exactly blown away by the colour, but I would give this brand another go, but I may just have to go a bit more adventurous with the shade.
