Boots 3 for 2 Oh Yeah

So Boots is empty...

Nah, I’m joking, but I certainly did give the makeup isles a bashing, hell it’s 3 for 2, I love a good 3 for 2, I love a bargain full stop.

So after doing my everyday makeup post which you can see here, I think it made me realise that my makeup habits and choices haven’t changed in a long long time, quite possibly years.  We all change and grow up and maybe our makeup should too, and low and behold, at the same time as this revelation occurred to me, Boots decided to do their 3 for 2 offer.  The god’s of makeup were clearly thinking along the same lines as me that I desperately need some new stuff.

Who am I to argue with the god’s?  So I got to buying and this my friends is my boots buys... (I could have called it a ‘haul’, but for some reason that term really annoys me so I will not be doing it!):

Collection Shimmer shades
I fancied something a bit shiny, I wanted a go at getting that lovely shimmering glow some people have and wanted a little go at highlighting my cheeks... we’ll soon find out if I manage the look without looking like a disco ball!

Rimmel Scandal eyes – 001 black waterproof
I do love this mascara, never bought the waterproof one mind, so we’ll see how it pans out, but if it’s anything like the ordinary one it will be just awesome.

Maybelline dream touch blush – 07 plum
Now being a massive lover of blusher, I knew one would feature in my buy, and this one so far seems to be just awesome, lasts all day and has a really nice colour with just a touch of shimmer... so far so good!

Maybelline superstay 24 hr concealer – 2 fair
I normally stick with the same old concealer but this time I thought I would branch out as sometimes with the solid stick it can be a bit to thick, so liquid seems like a better choice.  I’ll let you know what it’s like.

Collection illuminating touch brightening concealer – 3 glow
I have heard very good things about this and so far after a few uses I am certainly not disappointed... far from it.  When picking the colour I went for the darkest shade (3 Glow), even though my skin is fair the skin under my eyes is always quite dark so this works to match the colour perfectly... just a tip for you there.

Barry B Kohl eyeliner pencil – Navy blue
I love eyeliner, and wear it every single day, so I figured I would give another colour a go.  Coloured eyeliners are always a bit of a dodgy choice, because it seriously depends on how you wear them, but I will go for subtle here I promise, I don’t want to look like I should be waiting around on street corners...

Eco Tools Bamboo Blush brush
I needed a new blusher brush after realising that my one is now very old, and also I plan to start as I mean to go on and wash my brushes regularly (once a week), so I needed a fresh new start.  This brush was only £7.99, which is really good considering the price on some brushes out there, time will tell if the price reflects how good it really is!

I’ll be reviewing these products over the next month or so, you know, once I’ve actually had a chance to use them, and I will let you know what I think... Please don’t get too excited about it!

p.s. Don’t forget to follow me on twitter and you can now find me on WIWT.

Peace out my friends,
