A bit of a trim

So Friday afternoon, after deciding I’d had enough of growing my hair I booked an appointment to the hairdressers to undo my past few months hard work.

Although I do eventually want my hair back short, as I like to chop and change my hair quite a bit I decided to go for an in-between stage, otherwise, and more commonly known as, a bob.

The plan was to have a layered bob and a side fringe... well I had the layered bob part, but I wouldn’t exactly call it a side fringe, more of a short fringe!

So I’ve always had a fringe, pretty much ever since I was born I think, ok, so maybe that’s a bit of an over statement, but ever since I was little it’s always been there, whether it’s a full fringe or swept over, but never short as this.

It was a bit of a shock to the system at first but I’m getting used to it, please let me know what you think!  But be nice ok, too many tears on my laptop is not healthy for it!

Oh and I’ve also dyed my hair (same as always), with Schwarzkopf Hot Cinnamon.

I know it doesn’t match the colour on the box, but they never do, or is that just me?!

The Valleys...errrmmmm

The Valleys has landed on MTV and after hearing all the hype and rumours about this new show I thought it best to form my own opinions about it....

So I’m not here to slate the show, I suppose, despite everything it makes viewing that no matter how much you don’t want to look at it you, can’t tear you eyes away!  And, whether it was intentional or not, it turned out to be quite funny.  But I would just like to give my own opinion on what it is really like in the valleys, especially seen as being a valleys girl myself, I’m a bit of an expert.

Ok, so just to start with, I have a job, bought my own house and car and know that from where I live it takes about 30 minutes to get to Cardiff, which is easily accessible by bus, train and car! Oh, and also, to get from the valleys to Cardiff we certainly don’t travel down the M4.

Although it’s true that there are a number of people without jobs here, I’m sure that if you looked around the country you would find the same proportion of people unemployed, so please do not think we are all the same and that the only way for us to get anywhere in life is for us to move to the big lights of Cardiff.

Although there are (quite a few I’m sure) exceptions to the rule we do not all spend our time dreaming of becoming glamour models and spending every night on the tiles getting wrecked and going home with a different bloke on every occasion!

And finally, the valleys is not “sh*t”, as per the opening line of the program, so there!
This being said, I think it’s fair to say we’re more than happy to have a laugh at ourselves, and embrace our good old valleys, just please don’t judge us by this lot!!

Please Watch it and gage your own opinion, and be sure to let me know!

Phew, well boy am I glad to get that off my chest, I feel well lush now.

Tidy butt innit :)

Winter Survival Pack

Ooooh it’s a wee bit nippy outside!

So it looks like summer (what little we had of it) has finally gone and it feels like winter is coming round a bit too fast.  But let’s not let the cold weather and dark days get us down, because this means we can now break out the winter wardrobe, and I don’t know about you, but I love my winter clothes!
Fluffy jumpers, chunky scarves and coats and jackets galore, it’s all part of the beauty of winter.
So in preparation for this, I’ve decided to put together my recommended winter survival kit:

Winter Essential 1: Coat

Ok, so I’m a little bit obsessed with coats and jackets, as over half my wardrobe is dedicated to them, I think it’s fair to say I don’t need another one this year, but the heart wants what it wants and I will most definitely be adding another one (*cough* or two) new coats to it this winter.  Sorry wardrobe!!

Winter Essential 2: Jumper

To go underneath the coat, we need to build up our layers my dears

Winter Essential 3: Chunky Scarf

Keeps you warm and a lovely fashion accessory... Ooooh yes please

Winter Essential 4: Gloves

Essential to ensure that yours fingers remain firmly connected to your hands!

Winter Essential 5: Hat

For keeping out little brains warm to carry on fully functioning

Winter Essential 6: Shoes

Thou shalt not go bare foot in the snow...

      Mango / Topshop / Office

Winter Essential 7: Socks

I don’t know about you but my feet always feel like little blocks of ice, so in order to keep my little tootsies warm a toasty pair of socks is definitely in order

Winter Essential 8: Bag

Ok, so this isn’t exactly essential for our winter wardrobe, but everyone needs a beautiful bag, especially one that can survive the rain (is that an excuse to buy a new winter bag? Oh I think so!), so here’s my favourites:

Winter Essential 9: Umbrella

If you are from Wales (or generally Britain for that matter, but especially Wales), then you will definitely understand why an umbrella is essential!

Winter Essential 10: Tights

Well now that summer is over and our pins must be covered up, why not do it in style
