Rimmel Scandaleyes Flex Mascara: A Review

This is a product I only bought a few days ago, but having been so impressed with the results on both myself and my sister, who originally had the product, I thought I would give it a quick review.

As it goes, I’m a fan of Rimmel mascara’s anyway.  I normally use the Rimmel Scandaleyes mascara, but after seeing how good this product was on my sister I figured that I just had to give it a go.  I say had to, I would like to point out that no-one forced me to try it, it was all purely my decision and by no means did I feel pressurised to use this mascara.

So anyway, I had to try it (please see above), and by damn, I’m sure glad I did.

The packaging is bright green so you can’t miss it and can easily remember which one it is when, if like me you have the memory of a gold fish who has had a frontal lobotomy, you can still seek it out to buy later on.  So although maybe bright green may not be to everyone’s taste, it works for wee little brained people like me, lovely job.

What I find with mascara’s is that the most important thing is the brush, the bigger the better I say.  I’m not talking about a hair brush sized mascara wand, that would be ridiculous and I would almost definitely get the damn stuff all over my face... even more so than now... oops.  No, I just mean, that the bigger, good old fashioned straight round shaped ones are the best, and this one ticks every box.

It wears well and lasts all day and just like it says on the tin (tube, whatever...), it really does flex.  It doesn’t go hard and crispy like most mascaras I’ve used, it actually feels relatively natural on your old lashes (well, as natural as your gonna get when you wee hairs are coated with a thick coat of mascara).

Oh and finally, seens as really, as it’s a mascara, and let’s face it, the most important thing is what it does for your lashes, I would like to say that it’s blinkin’ awesome.  It doesn’t clump, and applies so easily and really does make your lashes look thicker and longer.  What more could you want!  In order to prove this point, I have taken some before and after photos, I really hope you all appreciate this:

So there you go, I would give this mascara a 9/10, a very high rating; a very high rating indeed.

I hope you found this review useful, informative or if nothing else mildly entertaining.
